Paths I have taken…
My path to classroom was an unexpected one. I never thought I wanted to be a teacher. But, after some thought, I realized it fit me sooooo well. I knew I love English language arts, I worked really good with people, and I liked the time off I would get with my family. So I pursued it. Once I was in the classroom and embraced education, the more and more I fell in love with it. Now, fast forward several years, I still love education, but I am hungry for something more. On top of that, I have had my first child, and I would love to have more time with my child. So… I explored different ways to pour into my passion for education, including obtaining my master’s degree and starting a Teachers Pay Teachers store, and I am practicing different ways to find a better balance between teaching and parenting. To the right, you’ll see summarized ways I’ve used to find balance and passion in my life.
I know what it’s like to feel both called and exhausted—and I’ve made it my mission to walk with teachers through every season of their professional journey.
